Join the Reentry PRocess
As America starts to reopen, many of you have expressed fears and anxieties about the reopening process. For some, days of social distancing have come as a relief, and your "new normal" was a welcome change of pace. For others, there are concerns about personal well-being and safety as regulations become less restricted and more and more citizens reenter public living. So, what does the reentry process look like? What might we anticipate as leaders in our households, in our workplaces, in our churches and among our group of peers? How can we prepare for a transition we might not be totally ready to embrace?
In preparation for this transition, this month we are focusing on relationships. What does it mean when we raise our authentic voices this fall as we plea with our nation's leadership and cry alongside each other? Can we remain united, yet different? Can we choose a third option rather than reverting to an "us" versus "them" mentality? If you are craving more fireside chats and less mindless chatter (aka debates) and if you are yearning for more soul food and marshmallowy laughter and less overexaggerated media and fake news, sister, come rest your soul here with us. We promise to see you for who you are. I will meet you, if you are willing to meet me, in our humanness. Note: Communal sharing is one of our focal points here in the Dear Jess, Lead with Love community. By staying connected, you will receive our thematic monthly newsletter titled The Leadership Lifeline, as well as updates related to the month's focus. For the month of October, we are focused on the process of reentry and what it looks like to rejoin a broken society. Let's come together with oneness and unity of purpose, friends. |
